TRACEY EMIN

b. 1963

“The neons are all about love.”

Currently living and working in London, United Kingdom, Tracey Emin is a British artist known for her intensely confessional work that blurs the boundaries between art and life. Born in 1963, she was part of the generation of Young British Artists (YBA) from the 1990’s before becoming one of today’s most influential living artists. Using experiences and events from her own life, her practice includes sculpture, drawing, painting, photography and writing.

We believe that Tracey Emin has without a doubt been a major figure in contemporary art and her explicitly personal artwork feels both intimate yet profoundly universal.
