OSVALDO GONZALEZ

b. 1982

“Lighting plays a decisive role in my work, especially since it is not only a vehicle to build areas of light and shadows, but also has a weight from the conceptual point of view.”

Born in 1982, Osvaldo Gonzalez lives and works in Havana, Cuba. Interested in the representation of interior and exterior common spaces, he makes connection with the outside world through windows by superimposing layers of scotch tape. Thus, he successfully achieves chiaroscuro both in his paintings and in his installation work.

Part of a young generation of emerging talents, we are delighted to have Gonzalez joined our collection alongside of our other established artists. Together, they define a compelling collective dynamic of limitless creativity.
